Canadian Cloud Council Brings IBM Global Cloud Expert, Jan Jackman, to "Cloud Matters"

Among the featured guests at “Cloud Matters” will be IBM VP of Cloud Managed Services, Jan Jackman. Jan’s team is the driving force behind cross-IBM innovative cloud initiatives such as Application Lifecycle, SmartCommerce, Analytics, and SAP running on IBM’s SmartCloud platform. She is responsible for business line management of IBM’s global cloud managed services.

Jan sees the unlimited potential Cloud has in enabling government agencies and companies to fundamentally change the way they do business. Cloud uniquely optimizes existing infrastructures while implementing new IT-driven business models. It is no wonder that the number of enterprises moving to cloud computing will double within the next few years as they transition IT from a cost center to a strategic center of business innovation.

Jan’s expertise spans channel management, sales enablement, cloud consulting, ecosystem development across IBM Global Technology Services (GTS). IBM’s SmartCloud managed service offerings include both self service and fully managed cloud infrastructure, platform and application services.

Prior to this role, Jan led Global Technology Services cloud strategy and offering management and was Vice President, Global End User Services. Jan held multiple positions in IBM’s Software division including Vice President, IBM Software Group, Industry Solutions Development, General Manager of IBM's Retail on Demand business, Vice President of Strategic Business Development for Software Solutions, and Director of IBM Java Software. Jan began her career with IBM in 1982 in the personal computer business, and is a graduate of University of Florida in Mechanical Engineering and she earned her MBA from Nova University.
